IRIS Associates was founded in 1997 by Maury Confer and developed a reputation for practical infrared inspections and straightforward reporting. Aaron Schmidt acquired the company in 2023 and continues the focus on industrial electrical thermography.

Aaron's background includes industrial electrical maintenance, electrical construction, PLC work and troubleshooting. That experience matters when the goal is not simply to capture an image, but to understand what the equipment is doing and document the condition in a useful way.
